Cancellation & Refund Policy

Clear schedules, cancellation rules, and refund timelines back to your source account.

1. Standard Cancellation Policy

If you need to cancel your booking, the following cancellation charges apply based on when the written request is received by our desk relative to your scheduled arrival date in Port Blair:

Timeline Prior to Arrival Cancellation Fee Refundable Amount
30 Days or More 10% 90%
15 to 29 Days 25% 75%
7 to 14 Days 50% 50%
Less than 7 Days 100% 0% (No Refund)

Note: All cancellation requests must be transmitted in writing via email to fascinatingandaman@gmail.com. Oral phone communications are not recognized as official booking changes.

2. Ferry Catamaran Specific Rules

Ferry tickets (Makruzz, Nautika, Green Ocean) are subject to carrier-specific cancellation policies.

  • Catamaran tickets are usually non-transferable under maritime guidelines. Name adjustments are treated as fresh purchases.
  • If you cancel ferry tickets, carriers apply processing charges ranging from 25% to 100% based on their specific cancellation window (typically non-refundable if canceled within 48 hours). Any ferry refunds issued will be subject to these deductions.

3. Peak Season Restrictions

During the super-peak tourism season in the Andaman Islands, which extends from December 15th to January 15th, all resorts and private properties enforce strict 100% non-refundable advance booking parameters.

Any bookings scheduled during this window are completely non-refundable, and no adjustments or date shifts can be accommodated once processed.

4. Refund Processing Timeline

We follow structured financial guidelines to process refunds:

Merchant Compliant Refund Timeline

Once your written cancellation request is verified and the refund amount is approved (after applying relevant cancellation scales), we initiate the payout request within **48 hours**. The gateway and banking network process this request, and the funds will be credited back to your **original payment source account (the same credit/debit card, netbanking wallet, or UPI account you checked out with)** within **5 to 7 business days**.

5. Force Majeure & Weather Cancellations

Andaman is a tropical maritime zone. In case of unexpected weather disruptions (heavy cyclones, high seas, flight cancellations, administrative closures of tourist beaches, or ferry halts ordered by the Port Commissioner):

  • We will work to reschedule excursions or secure credit vouchers from hotels for future stays, depending on their individual policies.
  • For cancelled ferry tickets, the carriers issue a refund which we pass on to the traveler.
  • Alternately, any unused elements of a package due to sudden weather shutdowns will be assessed on a case-by-case basis. We prioritize our customers' safety and financial security.
